Woodstock, GA
General information
The Home School Soccer League, Inc (HSSL) is a non-profit, non-competitive cooperative that meets on Thursdays ONLY. We meet at the Riverside Athletic Complex at 610 Druw Cameron Ct, Woodstock, GA 30188 in Cherokee County. Our teams scrimmage within their age groupings. We do not have any other practices or games off-site.
Registration is open for the Spring 2025 Season; please see the Registration Form for the mailing address. However, you have the option of registering during ON-FIELD registration, which will be held on Thursday, February 6th, 2025 from 1:15-2:45 at the Riverside Athletic Complex. We do not accept regular registrations for the coming season after On-Field registration. Late registrations are accepted on a limited basis depending on available slots.
Fees cover mandatory player insurance, coaching costs, field permit fees, etc. Our uniform consists of a gray HSSL T-shirt, which is available for an additional cost. Please note that there can be absolutely NO refunds after the first week, since insurance costs and fees will already have been paid.
Team assignments for players will be emailed at least 48 hours prior to our start date. For safety reasons, parents should escort their children to and from their assigned fields according to the map that will be in the email.
As HSSL is “parent-run”, you are STRONGLY encouraged to volunteer, and will receive a discount if you choose to do so. We greatly appreciate our wonderful volunteers, (i.e., we love you folks!), who work so hard for all of us during the season.
We try to provide a minimum of 6 weeks of play by scheduling 8 sessions and ONE rain makeup date. Typically, we do manage to provide 8 weeks, but cannot control the weather. If we must cancel a session due to storms or lightning, or if the Park closes the fields due to weather, etc. we will contact you by Calling Post (usually before noon.) We will then hold a soccer session on the optional make-up date.

A parent MUST be present with their 3 or 4 year old players, unless coaching for Home School Soccer, due to the child's bathroom needs and short attention span.
In order to play, your child(ren) must bring the following items with them each week:
-
Water Bottle—This is essential. Please make sure they have PLENTY of water and that your child's water container is clearly labeled with their name.
-
Shin Guards are REQUIRED for ages 5 and above. If your child forgets their shin guards, they will not be able to participate. This is to protect your child from injury and for insurance purposes. The coach's bag contains one loaner pair of shin guards.
-
Proper sports eyewear for children who wear glasses is STRONGLY suggested!
-
Cleats are strongly encouraged but not required. Exposed-toe shoes are NOT PERMITTED and will prevent your child from participating.
-
Ball - any size is acceptable (Age under 8 typically utilizes a size 3 ball, Ages 8-12 size 4 ball and ages 12 and up a size 5 ball.) A ball pump is available at the HSSL table should you need one.
Also, please remember that this is NOT a drop-off activity. One parent must remain at the fields for the full session, regardless of the child's age. Additionally, parents of 3 and 4 year old players should plan to stay with that child's team. If you have children on multiple teams, please note on your Registration Form which field you will be at. Our staff must know where you will be in case they need to contact you about your child for some reason.
Please be sure to obey all Riverside Athletic Complex Rules! Disregarding the rules could jeopardize our permission to use the park and we reserve the right to expel (without refund) any family that refuses to follow these rules. As always, supervise your children at all times! We want EVERYONE to be able to have a safe and fun time!!
